Tribunal on anti-abortion law in Poland

On 25th of July, 2001, the Federation for Women and Family Planning organised the Tribunal on Polish Anti-Abortion Law. The main objective was to inform public opinion on and sensitize about violations of women’s reproductive choices in Poland. The Tribunal was divided into three parts: introduction, testimonies of women (or their representatives) about violations of their reproductive rights and the Press session. During the Tribunal the new publication Women’s Hell - Contemporary Stories was presented. The women’s testimonies were commented by well-known Polish personalities, including lawyers and medical doctors. Moreover, international experts, including Francoise Girard (International Women’s Health Coalition), Rebecca Gomperts (Women on Waves), Ann Snitow (Network of East-West Women) and Christina Zampas (Center for Reproductive Law and Policy), gave their comments as well.
