EDUCATION AND INFORMATION SERVICES
The Federation seeks to provide adequate information and services on reproductive health, with a primary focus on family planning, prevention of sexually transmitted diseases including HIV/AIDS, reproductive tract infections, post-abortion counseling, and prevention of female cancers with a particular emphasis on self-breast examination.
Federation services include:
- Publications on sexuality, women's reproductive rights and health, family planning, sex education and other related issues. Publications are distributed through NGOs, healthcare centers, sanitary epidemiology stations etc.
- Hot Line - operates 4 hours a day and provides counseling and information on family planning and other sexuality related issues. The Hot Line offers the support and counseling of a psychologist, gynecologist, sexologist, and lawyer.
- Open Days for women - every other week women come for group discussions or individual counseling on family planning, post-abortion counseling, and other reproductive health issues. Women receive the advisory services of a psychologist, gynecologist, or obstetrician.
- Open Days for adolescents - every other week young people, particularly girls, come to discuss various aspects of sexuality, to receive information on family planning, and to be individually counseled if necessary.
